What's Changing?

Effective immediately, we are revising our content guidelines, particularly concerning step-family and extended family scenarios. This decision aligns with our platform's core values and the policies of our partners, including Patreon.

Key Changes:

Family Content: Content depicting step-family and extended family scenarios in a sexualized context will no longer be permitted. This change is consistent with Patreon's guidelines and our dedication to fostering a community that respects diverse perspectives.

Content Review and Removal: We are thoroughly reviewing all existing content. Any material that doesn't meet the new guidelines will be removed. Additionally, we are refining our moderation processes to ensure that future submissions are in line with these updates.

Why This Change?

In our ongoing mission to foster a platform that champions freedom of expression and stands against censorship, we find ourselves at a challenging crossroads. In compliance with Patreon's specific content policies, we are compelled to update our guidelines regarding familial depictions.

Patreon’s policy defines incest as any sexual activity between family members or relatives. This broad definition extends beyond direct blood relations to include extended family members, such as stepfamily relations, regardless of their legal status. As a result, content portraying characters in a sexualized context while referring to each other as step-siblings, step-parents, or any similar familial terms, will now be categorized as incestuous under these guidelines.

We recognize that this adjustment may feel like a step backwards in our vision to resist undue censorship. However, maintaining our partnership with vital payment providers like Patreon is essential for the operation and sustainability of SpicyChat. This collaboration ensures our platform's stability and our ability to continue serving our community.

These updates, though challenging, are necessary to uphold the integrity of SpicyChat and the trust you place in us. We remain committed to offering a space where creativity and expression can flourish, balanced with the responsibility of respecting the diverse perspectives and standards of our entire community. In navigating these complex waters, we seek to strike a balance between our core values and the practical necessities that ensure our platform's existence and growth.

Here are a few recent improvements:

• You can now click on a @username to view all the bots from a specific creator.
• Autopilot responses are no longer sent automatically, allowing you to edit out your response before sending it out.
• Premium subscribers can now disable openAI model if they prefer, using the option in the Advanced section of their profile.
• Bug fix: For those using their own openAI api key, we fixed an issue where the Always Enabled mode wasn't working as expected.

We are actively working on improvements to our AI model, critical areas for improvements that we have identified are:

• Alignment: Aligning the bot’s responses with your expectations to ensure a more personalized and satisfactory experience.
• Repetitions/Looping: Reduce redundancy and repetitions to maintain a varied and contextually relevant conversation flow.
• Quality degradation with conversation length: Mitigate quality degradation over prolonged conversations by prioritizing relevant context retention and adapting response generation techniques.

We also recognize the pivotal role that accurate role/gender attribution and effective moderation play in fostering coherent, respectful conversations, and ensuring a safe environment for all users. Your feedback has been invaluable in guiding our efforts to refine the large language model and address critical areas for improvement. We encourage you to stay connected and expect these enhancements to be integrated soon!

For the Conversation Images feature to work, we need to fine-tune a specialized AI model to teach it to generate similar images than your Chatbot Image. That process takes some time (about 7 minutes per bot), therefore we've created a training queue. All our I'm All In subscribers can now request the training of any untrained chatbot so that it can be available for Conversation Images. This includes training your private bots, or any public bot that has not been trained yet. To request training, you just need to click on the greyed out Image icon on the Chat Input:

For the moment, we've set the limit to a maximum of 4 training requests per day, however that limit will likely evolve based on the volume of training requests.

Some of the future improvements to Conversation Images we want to focus on in the near future:

• Adding more than one image per bot to allow better fine-tuning
• Editing the Image Generation Prompt to have more control of the generated image
• Training a custom LLM to generate better image prompt
• Using a different diffusion model that can generate more complex scenery.

All this to say that this feature will continue to evolve!

A side note to this, better text generation continue to be our main priority, and we plan to be sharing our progress on this with you very soon :)

We're happy to announce that we are releasing our new Conversation Images feature to our highest tier supporters, the "I'm All In" tier. The training of private bot feature should get release next week.

When we consider the feature stable enough, we will expand its availability to the True Supporter group, possibly toward the end of November. Training of private bots will remain a feature only available to the highest tier.

How it works?

We've fine-tuned a custom AI model for each of the bots that are available for this new feature (over 55,000 public bots). This fine-tuning has allowed the AI to learn how to generate similar images, however because this is done on only 1 image, it might also attempt to replicate the style of the image or other details of the image.

When you request for an image to be generated within a conversation, we query a Large Language Model (LLM) with the definition of the bot and the last turn of your conversation and ask the AI to build an image generation prompt. We then query a diffusion model to generate an image using that image prompt.

We're excited to announce an important upgrade exclusively for our True Supporter ($14.95) and I'm All In ($24.95) subscribers. Over the past few weeks, we've integrated more advanced GPUs and leveraged recent advancements in the field. As a result, we're now able to offer a doubled context size for a more comprehensive user experience.

For those unfamiliar, Large Language Models (LLMs) operate within a finite token limit—traditionally set at 2048 tokens (roughly 1500 words). This limit dictates the amount of conversational history we can utilize when generating responses. By expanding this limit to 4096 tokens (approximately 3000 words), the model can now consider a wider range of previous interactions, enabling more context-rich and accurate responses.
